Birthday Celebration 2016

At the request of many students and friends, His Holiness the Gyalwang Drukpa will be speaking about the modern day issues and problems commonly encountered. While almost everyone looks for a successful and happy life, most do not have a solution nor a glimpse of how this is possible. His Holiness often reminds that "Happiness and success should the path and not the goal. This is achievable if we have selfless wisdom." As the world faces uncertainties, increasing insecurity and diminishing comfort due to environmental issues, terrorism and a decline in moral responsibility, Hs Holiness decides to use his birthday celebration as an opportunity to share his thoughts and to impart the skilful method passed down from Lord Buddha and great masters to attain success and happiness amidst challenges we face today. This 6-day gathering, on the rooftop of the world, together with tens of thousands of spiritual practitioners and like-minded Dharma friends, the answers will unfold gradually.

Dakini Machig Labdron offered the teaching of Sengey Tsewa (The Revelry with the Lion) to the Great Omniscient Kunkhyen Pema Karpo (the Fourth Gyalwang Drukpa 1527-1592) through his master Awa Dhutipa. Ever since then, it has been the main practice of many historical yogis of Vajrayana Buddhism.

The benefit of the Sengey Tsewa practice can be catagorized into two parts:
